Post YDLWrap is a plug-in to dynamically call compiled functions
YDLWrap (https://github.com/emmt/YDLWrap/) is a Yorick plug-in which let you dynamically call compiled functions without the needs to build and compile a specific plug-in. You however have to write some wrapper code, but all is done in Yorick. Depending which dynamic loader you use, you may even be able to reload compiled code. Currently two dynamic loaders are supported:
  • dlopen is Yorick dynamic loader, it is always available (it is part of the portability layer of Yorick) but does not allow you to reload code;
  • libtool (http://www.gnu.org/software/libtool/) and may let you reload code;
For making the dynamic calls themselves, you need some specific library, currently only ffcall (http://www.haible.de/bruno/packages-ffcall.html) is supported.

The code source is here: https://github.com/emmt/YDLWrap/releases/download/v0.0.5/ydlwrap-0.0.5.tar.bz2
