Post issue with new include
David,

I have cvs updated (July 13) and tried the new include,"string" but I can't make it to work:
Quote:
> help,include
/* DOCUMENT #include "yorick_source.i"
require, source
include, source
or include, source, now

The SOURCE argument can be a scalar string, interpreted as a
filename like "yorick_source.i", the text in a char array, or
the text in a 1D array of strings (as returned by a two argument
call to rdline).

So from this I take it it is indeed the last version.
But:
Quote:
> include,"x=3"
ERROR (*main*) missing include file specified in include function
WARNING source code unavailable (try dbdis function)
now at pc= 1 (of 11), failed at pc= 5
To enter debug mode, type <RETURN> now (then dbexit to get out)
>

same with require, #include.
There must be something I didn't get then...

You didn't read carefully enough: SCALAR strings are filenames for backwards compatibility. You wanted:

include, ["x=3"];

Someday I'll include examples in all the help...
