Post using small font height in plots kills Yorick [SOLVED]
The following command is lethal to Yorick:
Code:
plt,"hello", 0.5, 0.5, height=6;

According to the stack dump, the problem is due to calling free() on an invalid pointer. This occurs at least on Linux Ubuntu 32-bit and 64-bit systems with a recent Yorick and seems to depend on the X11/Xorg driver: "nouveau" and "intel" drivers have the problem, while "nvidia" is OK. So this may be more an issue on the Xorg driver side than on Yorick side...

After some tests, it seems that the problem can be solved on these machines by installing some (at least the 75dpi one is needed) X11 bitmap font packages:
Code:
sudo apt-get install xfonts-75dpi xfonts-100dpi

The default yorick window uses the 75 dpi fonts; probably if you do window,dpi=100, you will need the 100 dpi fonts.
